Plants Know
Medicinal plants and fungi carry millennia of healing intelligence. We approach them with reverence, curiosity, and a commitment to learning from what they offer.
Houston Plant and Healing Farm was founded on a simple but transformative belief: that the plants and fungi of this earth hold profound healing potential that modern western medicine has only begun to understand.
We exist to close that gap — through the ethical trade of medicinal herbs and fungi, through teaching cultivation so these medicines can be grown close to home, and through supporting the research that gives plant-based healing a seat at the table in mainstream healthcare.
At the heart of everything we do is community. Every workshop, every trade relationship, every research partnership is an act of building a network of people who believe healing can look different — and that it starts with the earth beneath our feet.
These four principles guide every decision we make — from which plants we trade to how we build research partnerships and community.
Medicinal plants and fungi carry millennia of healing intelligence. We approach them with reverence, curiosity, and a commitment to learning from what they offer.
Plant medicine should not be a privilege. We work to make medicinal herbs and fungi — and the knowledge surrounding them — available to everyone, regardless of background or income.
We honor centuries of botanical and indigenous healing wisdom while embracing rigorous research. The strongest case for plant medicine is built on both.
Healing is not a solo act. Every program we run is designed to connect people — growers with healers, researchers with practitioners, and neighbors with the medicines growing around them.
Houston Plant and Healing Farm is led by a dedicated team of herbalists, cultivators, researchers, and community builders.
